If you want it to be perfect and happy you would side with Maruki and be given that happy ending. Those implications are so vast that they really beg for a game of its own. The thing is, doing the original ending lets you see how things 'should' have turned.
It makes a huge difference what you experience first imo. Vanilla P5 ending is too good to not experience first.
